• Those quotes are per eye, so right away, be sure to double the cost if you are looking for LASIK correction on both eyes.
• Most special offers only address mild nearsightedness, which effects less than 1% of patients. If you have farsightedness, astigmatism, or moderate to high amounts of nearsightedness, the cost of LASIK quickly jumps up.
• Promotional offers likely won’t include all additional fees for consultations, office visits, or post-op care.
• Your procedure may be performed with older technology. Chain LASIK providers cut costs across their practice so they can invest more in slick marketing to attract large volumes of new patients.
• You’ll likely spend no time with the LASIK surgeon before or after the procedure. Instead, you’ll only interact with technicians and optometrists.
