Dr. Silk is a vision specialist who is on a mission to help you achieve the best vision possible.
A board certified eye physician and surgeon, he received his medical degree from Marshall University and his ophthalmic training from the Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia. He completed a fellowship in Corneal Diseases and Advanced Cataract Surgery with some of the nation’s leading experts at the University in Pittsburgh, which is annually ranked as one of the leading hospitals in the nation by U.S. News & World Report.
Dr. Silk has performed thousands of LASIK, cataract, and other corneal surgeries. Many of his patients are physicians, surgeons, CEOs, high ranking political figures, military officers, athletes, and first responders.

A committed teacher, Dr. Silk serves as an Assistant Professor at George Washington University, where he helped train residents learning to perform cataract surgery. He has also traveled internationally to help teach others and to provide medical services across the globe.
In addition to leading eye surgeries at Silk Vision, Dr. Silk is also a clinical instructor at Georgetown University School of Medicine, where he supervises residents (doctors in training) in surgery. He believes that it is important to help the next generation of surgeons and pass along the excellent training he was fortunate to have received.
Dr. Silk is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, The Cornea Society, and is active in clinical research.

In his free time, Dr. Silk likes to be outside hiking, running, swimming, and spending time with his family. He is happily married to his wife and has two young children.
